Rentmo Closed Testing Guide

  1. Join https://groups.google.com/g/rentmo-external-testers
  2. Become a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.informaldevs.rentmo
  3. Download the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.informaldevs.rentmo
  4. Open the app and sign up using your email address.
  5. Enter the OTP sent to your email.
  6. Accept the Terms of Service.
  7. Complete your profile setup.
  8. On the Home screen, press Add Property.
  9. Enter the property name and select the property type. On the next screen, click Continue. Example:
    • Property Name: My Apartment
    • Property Type: Apartment
  10. Enter the number of apartment units. You will have the option to rename the units; they can also be renamed later.
  11. Enter the price of the units and save. Example:
    • Monthly Rate: 1500
  12. Back on the Home screen, press Add Tenant. Select the property, then select the unit.
  13. Enter the tenant information, then enter the contract information. Price and start date are auto-populated.
  14. The tenant and contract are now created. Press View to see tenant information and bills. Two months’ advance rent will be charged by default.
  15. Back on the Home screen, press Record Payment. Search for the tenant’s name and enter the amount and payment method.
  16. To subscribe to a paid plan, go to Home Screen --> Sidebar menu --> Subscription.
  17. Choose a plan. The Google billing modal will appear. You should see Test card, always approved as the payment method. If you do not see this, contact me. Do not use your own payment method. Press the Subscribe button.
  18. You will see a subscription activated alert. Restart the app to fully apply the subscription. The test subscription lasts for 5 minutes; after that, the plan will revert to free. The five-minute limit is a Google non-editable setting.
  19. Feel free to explore the app. Add more properties, tenants, utilities, and maintenance items.

Note: SMS authentication is available only in select countries. To test SMS authentication, send a request to rentmo-external-testers@googlegroups.com and I will provide a test number.
